Post Processor Support

Post Processor support is provided for registered CAD/CAM Solutions customers. Post processors for generic 2 – 3 axis milling/routing, 2-axis lathes, and wire EDM machines are provided at no charge if they are available in the Mastercam library or our internal library.

We source Mill/Turn Machines and 5-axis Mill/Router Posts Processors from Mastercam along with matching Machine and Control Definitions from two different post processor developers.  We have partnered with Postability and In-House Solutions for complex multi-axis machines and some of the Mill/Turn class machines.

Swiss post processors are available for purchase from Mastercam that will work on a Mill/Lathe Mastercam package.  Let us know which Swiss machine you have and we can check the availability.

Support Guidelines

  • Be ready to describe the problem in detail and know what product version and level you are working with. Document what happened, particularly if you cannot call immediately after the problem occurred.
  • Be in front of your computer while you call.
  • If possible, try to duplicate the problem. The support technician may request that you do this while you are on the phone. Also, be prepared to submit MCX files and other data related to your problem.
  • Have a complete description of your hardware, including CPU, mouse, math-coprocessor and memory.
